So here we are. Sitting a mom and pop Starbucks in Lubbock, TX. Reconnecting to the social interwebs via free wifi. 3 sets down – Ft. Worth, Wichita Falls, and Abilene all showed us a good time. The shows have been great and we’ve met some great new fans and friends.  Some other highlights include:

• Danny, the Irish owner of the Iron Horse Pub, showing us how to properly drink from a pint glass with only your teeth
• Tearing up the lively club scene in Abilene with our good pals from Saints of Valory
• Finally getting to some 60-degree weather.

Some lowlights include:

• Realizing we are averaging about 9 mpg in the van

Interesting experiences include:

• The 1.5/5 star hotel we found in Abilene known as the Travel Inn. It was safe to say it had been the movie set for some tasteful slasher films. The picture below I think sums up the feel.

After tonights show in Lubbock, it’s on to Denver…it’ll be a 10 hour haul, but we can’t wait to be in CO!
